Installation of GURL Friday

1. Copy two folders to your harddrive.

Simply copy the two folders named GURL Friday and GF Documentation to your harddrive.

The GURL Friday folder.

• The FileMaker Pro database GURL Friday.

• GURL Friday's Assistant,  a helper FileMaker Pro file used automatically by GURL Friday.

• The Get Netscape Window Info application, an Applescript that works to import URLs on the fly as you surf.

• The Parse Netscape Bookmarks application, an Applescript that works to import Netscape Bookmarks already gathered in Netscape.

The GF Documentation folder.

• A folder containing several GIF files used in the documentation.

• The Netscape documents that make these documentation files browseable.

2. Make an alias folder.

We recommend that you make an alias of your Netscape Preferences folder and place it in the GURL Friday folder. Netscape Preferences is in Startup drive --> System Folder --> Preferences --> Netscape. This will allow you to more easily navigate to the Netscape prefs folder when you need to have GURL Friday access your Netscape Bookmarks file.

3. Be daring! Make more aliases.

You can alias GURL Friday to your desktop or Apple Menu Items folder. Although you may not rename GURL Friday, you may rename the alias.
